Iphone 4s this morning

Still in its cute little box, fresh from China.

Its about that time, in fact its well past the time to replace my iPhone 3gs which Ive been carrying around for over two years now. The battle warn device has been sporting a cracked screen for a couple months, no longer works with headphones, and its vibration mechanism responds sporadically with a jarring rattle reminiscent of a handful of marbles shaken inside a metal container. Greatest Guests!

There are certain people you meet throughout your life that become intrinsically tied to you forever. They come, and they go, and that process is reversed and repeated. I recently had the pleasure of hosting my good friend Ayla for a couple of nights as she passed by the North Georgia Mountains on a cross country drive from Charleston, SC to San Diego, CA with an ultimate destination of Hawaii.

I first met Ayla over three years ago through a mutual friend. She is the friend who showed me how to live a vegetarian lifestyle, and inspired me through her incredible cuisine. Through out the past couple of years we have shared very good, and very bad times together. Each of us has been both a catalyst, and supporter in some of the most influential times of our lives. With all of this history I was very excited to see her again.

Guests can still be difficult, especially when they visit in the middle of the week, come in groups and bring a dog. Of course she mitigated all of those negative aspects by cooking me a great meal, excellent meal! We picked up all of the ingredients at a local farmers stand and she turned the various produce into one of the best I have had in a long time. By far making her the best guest I have hosted here and she is always welcome to return!

Runoff from the early fall rain cut small chasms in the mud still bare from the recently completed construction. Across the street of the brightly painted new building stood a small park, next to a family owned general store that proudly announced the prices of it’s live stock feed handwritten on it’s windows.

The road to perfection.

@treenoid Perfection is a theoretical, and unachievable goal. We are all travelers on an endless road that blends into the horizon. When someone sees you far ahead of them on the path, hardly recognizing your silhouette as it blends into the setting sun. Seeing you from this standpoint they may ascribe the final goal on you and say: you are perfect, as to them you seem to have arrived at the destination. This might seem daunting. You know from your perspective, that you have a long road ahead of you and are still far from the goal. But don’t be dismayed, call to your friend to hurry and join you! Do not turn from your advanced position, but instead encourage them to your level. A journey is best when shared.
