Ive picked up a small gig driving material for a Cumming, GA based company who has a major project in Pittsburg PA.

I arrive at the Company HQ arround noon, help load the truck, and drive through the night to arrive early in the morning, unload the truck, catch a couple winks at the hotel and make the drive back.

Its a sporratic job, and I ussually only recieve a 12-24 hours notice of a haul. As a student and in todays uncertain ecconomy, I cant complain, it brings in cash!

I’ve decided I don’t believe in money.

I realize this puts me at odds, as my intended major is ecconomics.

Money, let’s put the dollar on the spot, Im most fMiliar with it.
Green Backs is what they were called, before anyone I know can remember. When this currency was introduced people had Fear. Fear that the note would not be accepted. It was, and this Fear went away. Now, with online banking, people Trust their money is available to them, even though it does not really exist.

It is my conclusion that money is not real, and that it’s value is only based on the Trust or Fear of people.

I intend to continue seeking a degree in economics because I believe in people. This, to me, is more important than the money. Hopefully my studies will compliment my belief.

I remember reading a spoof of a motivational poster the type you see so often in office spaces. One of those cheep prints with black boarders that display a single word followed by a quote under a serene nature scene. This one displayed a picture of a woman sitting behind a desk that was barely visible under a mountain of paper work that nearly reached the ceiling. The caption read something like: “Procrastination: Its a lot like masturbation, It feels good when your doing it, but in the end you just fucked yourself.”

I’m taking one class this summer, and some how I’ve found myself up procrastination creek, with a 7 page essay due yesterday, I have about two paragraphs to show. That doesn’t even count for the other work I need to get done this week, including move out of my current abode by Friday.

In the end, the greatest lesson in this class, which I specifically took to prepare me for the upcoming full load this fall, is not going to be a part of the grade.

Lesson learned, next time… I’ll get a partner.
